Learning to read Scripture through the lens of God's heart for the nations, from Genesis to Revelation.
Biblical Theology of Missions: Tracing the redemptive plan12 sessions6 weeks
Tracing the redemptive plan of God through the whole biblical narrative and its implications for mission today.
The Gospels and Jesus' Leadership Style12 sessions6 weeks
Studying how Jesus called, formed, and released disciples, and what that model means for missional leadership.
The Book of Acts and Missions16 sessions8 weeks
A close study of Acts as the template for Spirit-empowered witness, church planting, and apostolic sending.

Second Year Streams

In the second year, students choose one of two streams based on their calling.

Local Church Planting Stream

Community Needs Assessment and Development12 sessions6 weeks
Tools for listening to a community, identifying real needs, and responding with sustainable, dignifying ministry.
Leadership Development and Multiplication12 sessions6 weeks
Identifying, training, and releasing new leaders so ministry multiplies beyond the founder.
Church Planting Models and Movements12 sessions6 weeks
Surveying historic and contemporary church planting models and the dynamics of multiplying movements.
Creating a Church Planting or Missional Strategy: developing a strategy and white paper for church planting or another missional project within the student's gifting12 sessions6 weeks
A capstone course in which the student develops and defends a written strategy for a church plant or missional project matched to their gifting.

Researching unreached and frontier peoples and building a wise, prayerful plan for engagement.
Contextualization and Church Planting12 sessions6 weeks
Planting churches that are biblically faithful and culturally at home in their setting.
